A great knight of the Confrérie de la Chocolatière, he received the "double bar of gold", "1 award" and the "jury's favourite prize" at the Paris Chocolate Festival for 4 of his chocolates, including the Verbena chocolate. Another speciality of Jean-Yves Alliot is the "Violon d'Ingres en chocolat".
