The house is austere. We are in front of the old presbytery of the village of Monteils, a small discreet sign announces menus. We lift the head, and the solar dial above the door blows us that "life is too short to be small." Intuitively, we feel that we're going to spend a great deal of time. You have to knock at the door, and Françoise Bordariès opens with a smile. Mechanically, we're being given the hand, we really feel like you're going to eat in the living room. Françoise's welcome is warm, surprisingly simple. His husband Bernard prepares piano in the kitchen, and we are tempted to leave him full control of our plate, so this jazz amateur is a virtuoso, loyal to the land and the seasons. Let's go beyond the somewhat outdated decoration, the soils and the time ceilings. The evidence is on the plate, everything is harmonious, from eye to papilla through the nose. A great moment, at a really mild price, to taste in summer on the fresh terrace overlooking La Meiji. The best address you know.

What a fantastic find. Lovely food, great service.
