In 2006, the land of the Lacontal farm, in the commune of Touffailles, regained its lavender blue colour. Hélène Lafon and Xavier Leplaideur have revived the cultivation of lavender, which had been neglected since the 1970s. In organic farming, as in the past, they weed by hand before harvesting and distilling on site to make essential oils. The two farmers also sell other products derived from lavender: soaps, scented candles and even meringues, sweets or lavender flowers to snack on.
