THE DEBOSQUE HOUSE
Large building dating from the 1930s, with a style reminiscent of the Anglo-Norman houses in Armentières.
In this vast building dating from the 1930s lived one of the most famous families of Armentières, the Debosque family. Indeed, Maurice Debosque was well known in the region, as he actively participated in the reconstruction of the town of Armentières after the First World War. His vast residence, in a style reminiscent of Anglo-Norman houses, symbolized renewal and prosperity. In 1971, the house was bought by the city. It is currently occupied by the town hall, but it is possible to visit it and the garden.
