Who would suspect that the gardens of the EPSM, the Public Mental Health Establishment, could be visited? By appointment, let yourself be guided by the EPSM gardeners themselves, who will explain how they design and care for the 18 hectares of green space out of the 30 hectares that make up the EPSM. Stroll among the 2,400 trees, shrubs and flowers (roses, willows, pawlonias, etc.) that make up this magnificent garden, which is also enhanced by the beautiful buildings of Flemish architecture that surround it. Since 2019, a sensory-motor garden, with barefoot paths and plants chosen for their smell and sometimes their flavour, has also appeared. Temporary exhibitions, beehives, hammocks, plant huts, the EPSM gardens are a source of tranquillity that only locals know!
