LA LÉONCE D'ARMENTIÈRES
It is a very beautiful story that of the Léonce d'Armentières. After a few years of project implementation, the micro-brewery finally opened in 2015 thanks to the investment of the teams and the association Les Papillons Blancs de Lille. Indeed, Léonce is produced within a protected working institution (ESAT: Establishment and Service of Assistance by the Work), which accompanies the professional projects of people in situations of intellectual disability. The recipe for Léonce's beers was created by a Belgian brewer. They were spent a few years in Belgium before ESAT invests in its own micro-brewery. Result: Tasty Belgian beers produced by passionate people who grow up in a professional project motivating thanks to their clients and partners. The opportunity also to revive the very ancient brewery tradition of the town of Armentières (Motte-Shoemaker): a new giant "Léonce" was even born in September 2015 via the ESAT. In 2016, for the 50 years of the ESAT, a fifth beer (triple tasting) will complement the range (white, blonde, amber, brown), all of which now have a regional hops.
