It was a crazy challenge that the heirs of the Motte-Cordonnier family set themselves, but after tasting their "René", we can say that it was met with flying colors! What are we talking about? Beer of course! Here, we have been brewers since 1752 and, since 2018, 15 members of the family have joined forces to relaunch the activity and perpetuate this tradition of local and artisanal brewing. Their first-born is the "René", a tasty and light blonde. A successful challenge!

Message from Management
This family brewery welcomes you to the heart of Armentières. Founded in 1650, it perpetuates a brewing tradition while innovating to offer unique beers. Beers range from light, refreshing blondes to rich, complex browns. Let yourself be tempted by Léa, a balanced, fruity American Pale Ale, or Henry, an exotic India Pale Ale. La René, a not-to-be-missed craft blonde ale, deserves special attention. It won the Gold Medal for Best Classic Blonde Beer at the France Bière Challenge 2023. To guarantee authentic flavors, the brewmasters carefully select the finest ingredients. The brewery also organizes free guided tours every Friday from 3pm to 7pm to show you the beer-making process. You can observe every stage of production, from malting to bottling. For the full experience, you can opt for a tour that includes an introduction to brewing techniques and zythology. A must for beer lovers.

La René - 6°
Drawing on this history, and the memories left behind by Motte-Cordonnier products, we wanted this beer to be a generous, refreshing and light (6°) blonde ale to please as many people as possible, and to accompany every moment of tasting. With its beautiful golden color, it gives off lovely malty aromas and a slight bitterness due to a hint of Flanders hops. (For purists, it has an IBU 20 bitterness and an EBC 7 color). Produced from raw materials from the Hauts-de-France region, it develops all its aromas . Available in 75cl and 33cl bottles and 20l slim head S casks.
La Emile - 9th
This triple-aged beer is 9°. Flanders hops, a good malt base and a golden color will delight all lovers of good, strong, characterful lagers (for purists, it has an IBU 33 bitterness and an EBC 16 color). Produced from raw materials from the Hauts-de-France region, it develops all its aromas . Available in 75cl and 33cl bottles.
La Camille - 4,5°
This crisp white ale, with its citrus and hop aromas and light, smooth taste, recalls the story of our ancestor Camille. Infused with sweet orange peel and bergamot , this refreshing beer is perfect for evenings out on the terrace. Available in 75cl and 33cl bottles and 20l slim head S kegs.
La Léa - 5°
This American Pale Ale is the first in a new range of more craft beers. Pale ale and wheat malts give it a generous orange color and 5° alcohol. A generous blend of local and American hops adds freshness, floral and citrus notes. Available in 75cl and 33cl bottles and 20l slim head S kegs, this refreshing beer is perfect for evenings out .
The HENRY - 6
This Indian Pale Ale completes our new range of more craft beers. Pale ale and wheat malts give it a generous orange color and 6° alcohol. In the image of Henry, the eldest of the 10th Motte Cordonnier generation, this is a beer with a strong, exotic character. Available in 75cl and 33cl bottles and slim head S 20l kegs, this refreshing beer is perfect for evenings out .
