BILLARDS TOULET
Set of address and concentration, billiards are also popular in Europe as well as elsewhere. Classic billiards, contemporary billiards, billiards billiards or competition billiards, Toulet has become a reference to amateurs and enthusiasts. Toulet Billards have been awarded the Living Heritage Business Distinction.
History. The origin of the billiards dates back to the reign of Louix XI with the appearance of tables covered with sheets on which logs were pushed with canals at the end of the resort. It was in 1850 that the billiard Carambole, the "three ball game", which favored the effects and direction of the player's ball, grew. A furniture manufacturer, Toulet, therefore decided to create a billiard department in 1857 and quickly became a reference. In 1910 he became one of Europe's leaders, and from 1920 to 1940 he settled throughout Europe. But in the aftermath of World War II, most of the manufacturing is only in Lille (North). In 1954, billiards found a second breath by becoming a competitive sport. Also, in 1960 Toulet launched the first functional models with metal chassis allowing the heating of billiards without distortion of the game plan. In 1970 the mark jumped the step towards semi-industrial manufacture; Toulet billiards are now present on world competitions. In 1975, 60% of Toulet billiards were exported worldwide. Since then, the brand has risen to new challenges to combine pleasure and comfort.
The products. Toulet designed a wide range of billiards, adapted to all the needs and desires of players: traditional or ultra-modern aesthetic, for leisure or competition, and of all dimensions. Toulet, who joined the French international Mathieu Debuchy, also offers baby-fairs and accessories.
Employment. All billiards are manufactured in the Lille-Bondus (North) factory thanks to a team of 26 experienced technicians.
