Museum entirely dedicated to the Resistance, revealing the events through reconstructed scenes, objects, documents...
The museum is located in the remains of Fort Lobau. It was here that 68 French resistance fighters were shot during the Second World War. These executions were not discovered until after the German troops had left and blown up the fort on1 September 1944. Today, only a third of the original fort remains, including the courtyard where the executions took place. The museum is entirely devoted to the Resistance, revealing the events through reconstructed scenes, objects and documents, and photos. An accessible and poignant scenography.
