ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH AND ITS CARILLON
A church in Bourbourg, with a superb 50-bell carillon, illuminated by a lilac-colored fiber optic lighting.
The building of this church dates back to the 13th century. The great particularity of this church is its superb carillon of 50 bells which can be admired at night since it is illuminated by a lilac coloured fibre optic lighting. The city has also done a great job of redesigning the square and the contours of the church. Old houses have been demolished, allowing the inhabitants to rediscover whole sections of their church that were previously hidden by houses.
