MONUMENT OF THE 12TH D.I.M.
The D.I.M. monument, one of many World War II memorial sites, inaugurated on the beach at Bray-Dunes.
This monument is one of the many places of remembrance of the Second World War. Here, the courage and dedication of the 12th Motorized Infantry Division are highlighted. Charged with defending the eastern sector of the Dunkirk bridgehead and thus covering the Allied embarkation to England, the division lost many men. The monument was inaugurated on the beach of Bray-Dunes on June 25, 1950 so that the devotion of these men will never be forgotten.
