History: Diot Chocolate Factory was born from the talent of its founder, Roland Diot, a pastry chef and chocolate lover. The family business was founded in 1980 and since then has excelled in the specialty of cocoa, as evidenced by the countless competitions and medals won over the years: four gold medals, three silver medals, a French Cup, an Hors Concours and the Vase de Sèvres of the President of the Republic. These last two awards are not the least important since in 34 years, only two professionals have won these awards every three years. That's what I mean! Having passed on his passion for chocolate to his son, it is together that they develop their clientele and gain notoriety.
Products: Diot chocolates is a 100% pure cocoa and palm oil-free guarantee. In addition, the originality of the House lies in the recipes of the northern heritage revisited. Thus, you will find creations of all colours in the shape of sausages, maroilles and many other local specialities. A folklore that is not to please the inhabitants of the North.
Advantages: In the factory outlet, the more "classic" recipes are also available and you will find a wide choice of dark, white, milk, praline chocolate, with ganache, but also orangettes, tiles, break bars... All items are sold by weight, except for bites sold by the piece. Pretty boxes of marzipan and fruit pastes are also available.
The pluses: Possibility to visit the chocolate factory's manufacturing workshop, 25 people minimum and by appointment only. You will discover the different phases of chocolate making and a tasting will be offered to you.
