LE PORT DE PLAISANCE DE CANTIMPRÉ
At the junction between the canalized Scheldt and the Saint-Quentin canal, this port was built in 1862 and became an important river port at the end of the 19th century, with docks and warehouses, chamber of commerce and many industries. More than a hundred barges passed through it every day. Today, yachting is the main part of its activity. Located a few hundred metres from the city centre, it offers boaters considerable comfort. Modernized and enhanced by the municipality, particularly around its lock house, in several stages of work, it can accommodate 40 boats of all sizes, offers free wifi connection and it remains one of the only neighbouring ports to be able to distribute fuel to its users. It is located between the private port of Bouchain at 15 km and that of Saint-Quentin at 52 km.
