SAINT-GÉRY CHURCH
The oldest church in Cambrai, housing many works of art and organizing regular organ concerts.
Initially built in the 6th century, the church of Saint-Gery is the oldest in Cambrai. Razed at the time of the construction of the citadel, it was rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century according to two architectural traditions: the Dutch baroque and the French classicism. Remarkably, this church still has its rood screen, whereas the French Revolution destroyed them everywhere else in the country. The church also houses a number of works of art including a painting by Rubens. Organ concerts are also organized there.
