Museum presenting the lace production line and a collection of textiles in the old Carpentier factory.

The museum is located in the old Carpentier factory dating from 1898, a typical building of the industrial architecture of the late ^nineteenth century. You can discover the secrets of the production line of lace on a Leavers loom and the weaving looms. On the first floor, temporary exhibitions allow you to observe the most beautiful laces woven and embroidered for great personalities... like Kate Middleton's wedding dress!

Opening time and information on MUSEUM OF LACE AND EMBROIDERY

On weekdays from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm. Closed on Tuesday. Weekend and public holidays from 2.30pm to 6pm. The annual closing of the museum takes place for in winter between the Christmas celebrations and New year. Free for under 16-year-olds (if accompanied by an adult). Adult: €3. Group (15 people): €2.30. Free for Caudrésiens if presentation of a written proof - 2,30€ per person starting from 15 people. Guided tour (For reservation call ✆ 03 27 76 62 03).

Joli petit musée, qui nous a permis de découvrir la place de Caudry dans l'habillement de luxe. L'ingéniosité des machines de tissage et le process de création sont passionnants.
