FORT LOUIS PARK
A beautiful natural and historical site with a wide variety of children's games and picnic areas in Coudekerque.
Fort Louis Park is the right place to go! Everything is free, it is a superb natural site (and historical since it is installed in a fort designed by Vauban) with a wide variety of games for children: castle, suspension bridge, accrobranche circuit, mini-golf, outdoor library, swings, carousel (for a fee), model water sports on the small pool, table tennis tables in free access (balls and rackets lent against an identity card from the caretaker 06 88 94 90 37) or even pedal boats (new in 2018). There are also picnic areas, including a new one with arbours to protect against the sun or rain. All this is located in the heart of 33 hectares of nature. The park is rather well maintained and flowered, it is a source of freshness in summer with its many shaded areas. It is also the starting point for three short walks: walkway (1,100 m), fishermen's path (1,160 m), Fort-Louis path (1,220 m). From the park, you can also make a detour, on foot, by the Vernaelde farm to visit the educational farm or head towards the nearby Forts woods that connect with Bergues.
