A museum dedicated to the history and heritage of the Cambrésis region, its rooms are devoted to the two World Wars.
As the scene of several battles during the First World War, such as the battles of Cambrai in 1917 and 1918, the Cambrésis region has a rich history. The mission of the museum of Crèvecoeur-sur-l'Escaut is to make the locals and visitors discover this history and to safeguard the heritage of the Cambrésis. The exhibition rooms are dedicated to the two world wars and to the Vinchy valley which includes Crèvecoeur-sur-l'Escaut, Lesdain and Les-Rues-des-Vignes.
