CARTHUSIAN MUSEUM
Museum housing works by the Flemish Primitives and masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance.
The Musée de la Chartreuse brings together several buildings: the 16th-century Hôtel d'Abencourt, the 17th-century Aile Montmorency and the Chartreux Convent, in operation between 1662 and 1791. In this museum, you'll find works by the Flemish Primitives and masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance. Of course, you'll also learn more about Douai and its history, with works by Douai artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. Don't forget to visit the small cloister garden. The museum is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month!
