Restaurant offering a classic menu with efficient service and very reasonable prices in Dunkirk.

In addition to offering the gîte to travellers, the Gens de Mer establishment also offers drinks and meals. But the restaurant is also open to people who are not staying in the hotel. The decoration of the room is in the marine atmosphere, which fits rather well with the site given the view offered from the restaurant room over the entrance to the port, the Texel bridge and the quays in the vicinity. The menu is classic (always composed with meat and fish dishes) and short, but the formulas are interesting. The service is efficient and pleasant and the prices are very reasonable.

Bon rapport qualité /prix. Hôtel agréable avec une vue sympathique sur le canal, bien placé pour se rendre au centre-ville à pieds. Présence d'un parking gratuit en bas de l'hôtel.
Petit bémol sur notre chambre, encombrée de meubles (penderie, commode, bureau) qui du coup, la rendent exiguë. Et les oreillers "raplapla" mériteraient d'être changés.

Good Hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Friendly, polite staff, they were very helpful. Good breakfast. Convenient parking. I’ve noticed they also support local artists and you can buy their paintings you like right there! ???? Overall experience is really pleasant despite there were some details. One of them Wi-Fi didn’t work normally in my room. I think because my room was the last on the floor. Other than that I mostly enjoyed and relaxed during my stay. I recommend! Next information is more for the Hotel Management) I wish they also would have the sockets on the side of the bed - It is very convenient. Also it would be great to do deep cleaning of rooms more often. Places like windowsills and some stains on the carpet - if there is not enough time - you can always block the rooms in your calendar for a day during the weekdays. One by one, you can keep everything in much better condition.

Nous recherchions un hôtel sur Dunkerque pour une courte escapade. Nous avons trouvé cet hôtel 2 étoiles qui ne paye pas de mine comme on dit. Quelle ne fut pas notre surprise de découvrir cet etablissement: accueil chaleureux, situation centrale, chambres impeccables à la décoration soignée, un deux étoiles méritant. Et de plus le prix des chambres est très,très,très raisonnable.
Bref vous n'aurez que de belles surprises.Alors si vous allez sur Dunkerque aucune heditation découvrez les "Gens de Mer".....nous on garde l'adresse pour un prochain week-end.
