Restaurant with terrace offering good traditional and local dishes.
At one time a den of tobacco smugglers and at another time a tea room for the upper middle class of Dunkirk, the Grand Morien has seen a number of colorful characters pass through its doors since its creation in 1861. Today, the history of the establishment is illustrated, in photos, on its walls. Taken over by Eric Dubois, the Grand Morien was renovated in 2017 and decorated in a chic and industrial style. The terrace overlooks the Place Jean Bart and you can eat good traditional, local dishes (potjevleesch, welsh, carbonnade...), and has a wide variety of mussel flavors.
