LA BASTILLE BISTROT DUNKERQUOIS
Bistro 100% Dunkerque with terrace offering dishes of local and organic products, meats and fish.
To take the Bastille, you must be armed with a good mood and humour (on the toilet door it says: "Here, it's without panties."). The word convivial, sometimes overused, takes on its full meaning here. The boss, Max Lefebvre, acknowledges it: in the Bastille, we have the verb high, we laugh. The tables talk with the customers sitting at the bar, and you get the feeling that everyone knows each other. Which is a little true in this bistro with a 100% Dunkirk spirit. And if you come here for the atmosphere, you come back for the quality of the dishes made with local, sometimes organic products. The Bastille is the right product at the right time. Blue white meat is, for example, raised in Spycker. There is also a beautiful menu of beef, tuna, veal or salmon tartars. The must-have is homemade truffle spaghetti and bacon, organic fried egg, parmesan cheese and arugula. The boss has fun preparing delicacies for adults: Bastille strawberry or big "Baba bouchon rhum". The semi-cooked chocolate fondant is out of control! In winter, La Bastille lends small plaids and in summer straw hats, as the terrace is particularly well exposed! Every Thursday and Friday evening, a small drink, a quality snack and a playlist to end the week well!
