Restaurant in the heart of the Citadel offering tasty and generous dishes in Dunkirk.
In the heart of the Citadel, the Marie Jane is one of the oldest signs of the port. For more than 22 years now, the figurehead of the façade has been a landmark in this district that has retained its maritime spirit. Marie Jane, a small brewery in the port, does not stand out with its boat slipway atmosphere and its bar open until 10pm. At the helm of this establishment, Richard in the dining room, Jean-Paul in the bar and Delphine in the kitchen. Every lunchtime (except Sundays), she prepares tasty and generous dishes (carpaccio duck aiguillettes, plancha veal kidneys), and Asian influences: Thai beef with sautéed vegetables, bo bun salad, Marie Jane salad with Thai doughnuts. Marie Jane is famous for its tartars (Thai, Japanese, herbs from the garden or foie gras). We also like fish dishes: wolf's cheeks in parsley, roasted scallops, sliced raw tuna in Thai style... For desserts, no menu, it is Richard who will offer you the house proposals of the day. In 2019, the establishment underwent a makeover while keeping all the salt in the establishment. We love the sunny terrace and its breathtaking view of the marina and belfries. Remember to book, because it is quickly full. After going there, you will understand why...
