This establishment emphasizes simplicity, taste and friendliness. The ingredient of choice is - and you won't be surprised - the potato! But what a potato! An impressive variety that is garnished to perfection and cooked with all kinds of sauces: 4 cheeses, Flemish, Savoyard, Alpine, Neapolitan, Norwegian, Alsatian, Oceanic, Nordic, and of course the Dunkirk version with... herring. There is even a vegetarian version. If you are not a potato fan, the daily specials are varied. A simple and warm place, the establishment was renovated at the beginning of 2019. It is located on the newly restored part of the dike. During the carnival period, on ball nights at the Kursaal (the establishment is located just next door!), the Patatière is packed and transformed for the "Carnapapate": the team is dressed up, the atmosphere is very sought-after. Reservations are made several weeks in advance! As soon as the meal is over, it's time for the DJ!
