BLEU MARINE
The Bleu Marine store is located in a historic building listed on the General Inventory of Cultural Heritage. The building, which includes two series of lock keeper houses, was built between 1852 and 1857. During the Second World War, between 1940 and 1945, the lock house housed the Hafenschutzgruppe, the German maritime police that depended on the Kriegsmarine (the German Navy). Above the store's entrance door, you can still see the sign "Hafenschutzgruppe" written in Germanic characters. The Dunkirk Raiders, a philanthropic and carnival association from Dunkirk, presented a plaque that recalls the past of this former lock house. Located in the Citadel, the boutique offers quality marine clothing (men, women and children). It also has a very nice decoration section: marine instruments, crockery, cushions, ornaments, miniatures of French lighthouses, including the Risban lighthouse located in Dunkirk. You can also find bags made from old boat sails. It's the right plan if you have an original gift to make and the sales are really worth it!
