DÉPART DU TOUR DE FRANCE À LA VOILE
Go there and contact
Although it has changed several times in terms of formula and type of boat, the Tour de France à la Voile has remained faithful to its starting city for almost 20 years: Dunkirk. During the first weekend in July, French sailing is held there. The barnum of boats and the nautical stadium are set up on the square in front of the Kursaal. For three days, the boats race against each other in relentless races as close to the coast as possible to give as much spectacle as possible to amateurs and the curious. From the beach, experience the races live, come and meet the teams and admire these small Formula 1 boats from close up. Like its cycling cousin, this tour is as popular and accessible as its cousin. For the 2020 edition, about twenty crews, 7 stages from Dunkirk to Nice and 17 days of regattas with big names in sailing, highly motivated young teams and regulars of the competition. Entertainment: games, sporting challenges, educational and cultural activities for young and old alike.
