Eat oysters while doing a good deed, in Dunkerque, Nieuwport or Marcq-en-Baroeul: it's the Northern Oyster Fair!
This event, which some people see as a warm-up for the equally convivial carnival, is organised with great skill by the volunteers of the association La Bouée Bleue. The profits are donated to associations such as the local SNSM. The Oyster Fair is made up of nearly 9 tons of oysters directly from the town of Locoal-Mendon, located in the ria d'Étel in the Morbihan. Freshness guaranteed! You can take them away or taste them (cold or hot!) on the spot, on tables where everyone mixes. A real institution!
