VISIT "DUNKERQUE", FILM AND HISTORY
In the summer of 2016, British director Christopher Nolan set up his cameras in Dunkirk, particularly in the streets of Malo, in the dunes and on the beach where the largest landings in world military history took place. It was in June 1940 and this story inspired him for his film Dunkirk. The Dunkirk Tourist Office has set up a visit to the emblematic sites where this film was shot. A stroll to discover the scenery, the facades that were used by the director and in particular the famous pier that the English call the East Mole. The tour starts at the Beach Tourist Office, located on the ground floor of the Kursaal, a building that had itself been temporarily transformed into a factory for the purposes of the film. The thematic tour can be completed by the Dynamo Tour or by flying over the sites of Operation Dynamo from the sky.
