VILLA MYOSOTIS
A magnificent villa listed as a historical monument in Dunkerque, hosting occasional exhibitions of artists.
The villa Myosotis was born in 1894. It was built in wood because it was forbidden to build hard in the sector at that time on military matters. This magnificent villa combines elegance and lightness. She even received a prize during an architectural contest in Paris in 1900! Thanks to the Myosotis Association, which today pursues its objective of safeguarding and rehabilitating the endangered heritage, it was subsequently restored in 1993. It was surrounded by a large garden, including a roserla, a kiosk and a piece of water. In 1985, it was listed in extremis in an additional inventory of historical monuments. It hosts exhibitions of artists on time. Do not hesitate to go to admire his beautiful facade that is detached nicely on the boiling and somewhat noisy avenue de Rosendaël. There are many other wooden houses or villas in the perimeter of Louis-Herbeaux Street. Another building of the same style to see avenue du Casino in Malo: Villa Ziegler.
