Canalfriends is initially a bilingual participative site of destinations and discoveries on French waterways which has gradually evolved towards a more global concept of sustainable and solidarity-based development of river tourism. Canalfriends offers advice on how to organise your stay, suggests good addresses and proposes, in relation with tourism actors and enthusiasts, another way to discover these territories. It has, for example, created the BoatStop, to sail with boat owners, as well as platforms dedicated to carpooling and discovery trips, to enjoy the waterways with enthusiasts. Finally, a "PRM friendly" approach has been set up to enable people with reduced mobility to discover the richness of the region's rivers with the help of innovative services such as free digital guides listing adapted reception points.
