Ecomuseum dedicated to rural and industrial heritage, composed of the Atelier-Musée du Verre in Trélon and the Musée du Textile et de la Vie Sociale in Fourmies.
The Museum of Textile and Social Life traces the history of the textile industry in the Avesnois. You can discover a park of machines inherited from the spinning mills of the time. The museum recalls the shooting of May1st 1891 which made the labor day a symbol of the workers' struggle. Finally, a reconstructed street of Fourmies in the 19th century plunges the visitor into the daily life of the working world. A place to discover to soak up the atmosphere of the industrial revolution.
