Beautiful castle of Gœulzin with an icehouse-dovecote tower and a park with a quiet corner suitable for walks.
The small village of Gœulzin, not far from Arleux, still has a beautiful 12th century castle, initially a fortified castle that kept its defensive function until the 16th century before becoming a pleasure castle over time, through its renovations and in particular its ice-house-dovecote tower (protected as a historical monument). Today, only the structure and the restored towers remain, as well as the park. Given its condition, it is not possible to visit it properly, but the quiet area is ideal for walks.
