Restaurant with a view of the sea with a simple and friendly welcome in Gravelines.

Here, no Calogero or Passi (reference to the song!), but the name is indeed appropriate: this is the only restaurant with a sea view in Gravelines. The welcome is simple and friendly and we like the atmosphere of a beachfront establishment. The brasserie proposes traditional dishes (like welsh, but revisited in the maroilles!) but also typical dishes of the region like mussels and french fries, fish specialities or good and pretty seafood platters (on reservation two days in advance). It is a great pleasure to taste oysters... in front of the sea! What could be better than eating fish dishes with a sea air that tickles our sense of smell? The establishment also has a bar, ice-cream parlour and chip shop and offers 9 rooms.

Restaurant bien placé en face de la mer. Jojie véranda. Les plats sont correct et bien présenté. Le service sympathique. Seul bemol la véranda est un peu bruyante la rançon du succès !

Ze waren vergeten onze bestelling door te geven aan de keuken. Na meer dan een uur nog geen eten. We hebben wel onze drankjes niet moeten betalen ter gemoetkoming.

Om 11u54 restaurant betreden als eersten. Aperitief besteld. Vanaf 12uur begon restaurant vol te lopen. We zagen dus constant dat al de andere tafels hun eten kregen voorgeschoteld, wij zaten er nog steeds met een leeg aperitiefglas. Om 12u45 serveerster aangesproken en kreeg bitse en onbeleefde opmerking dat ze ons gevraagd had of we eerst wilden aperitieven......En ja dat was zo maar na een uur is dat glas wel leeg. Rond 12u50 werd dan ons eten gebracht. Buiten 2 tafels, was iedereen bediend voor ons. Een groot deel van mijn mosselen waren dan ongeopend of maar deels geopend (zie foto) Tussen tijd van serveerster aan te spreken en de mosselen te brengen zat er amper 10 minuten.
Uiteindelijk afgerekend rond 13u36. Dus bijna 2 uur om een portie mossel te eten.
