AUGUSTINIAN MUSEUM
A museum dedicated to the history of Flanders, housed in the former Augustinian convent and offering a fine example of the styles of the period.
Located in the former Augustinian convent, dating from the 17th century, the museum was inaugurated in 1927 by Abbé Lemire. Its architecture is a fine example of the styles of the time, between baroque and customary decorations. But its main interest lies in its visible collections, including the Giants of the City. Continue your visit by taking a look at the room dedicated to the history of Flanders, in the gallery devoted to sacred art or in the one that presents several works by César Pattein, a painter of Haizebrouck origin.
