Brasserie offering a regional and mastered cuisine in Cateau-Cambrésis.

It is in the heart of this magnificent old Benedictine abbey renovated into a brewery that the Brasserie du Cateau is established. Here, the cuisine is local, seasonal, generous and of high quality, accompanying marvelously well the twelve Vivat beers available on draught. The menu is epicurean and northern: welsh, maroilles pie, chicken filet au gratin and beef steak. The desserts are not in rest and give as much envy: home-made sugar pie, cup of ch'nord or a greedy coffee. The ideal place to (indulge) yourself!

Service déplorable. 1h pour prendre la commande, 1/2 h supplémentaire pour l'entrée. Au bout de 2h nous sommes parti sans manger. À fuir.

Soirée Saint-Valentin, animation musicale super ambiance.
Menu rapport qualité prix très bien. Service impeccable. On s'est régalé.
Malgré l'affluence, disponible pour vendre également les bières en bouteille.

Pas d'amuses bouche avec l'apéro, on réclame et on nous dit j'ai oublié... On nous en emmène, mais pas le temps de terminer l'apéro ( un verre) qu'on nous amène le plat , pour info pas de corbeille de pain non plus ..., on demande une bière en cours de repas, amenée quand on a terminé... On demande un café et un dessert, on sort fumer une cigarette , on rentre, c'est déjà servi... Le café est presque froid . C'est dommage car c'est très bon et assez copieux, le cadre plutôt sympa, mais complètement hors sujet pour ce qui est du service. On va au resto pour de détendre aussi, pour prendre le temps, sinon on va chez MacDo. On ira plus car la première fois c'était déjà limite la même chose , ce n'est pas un accident...
