STATE-OWNED FOREST
This forest, protected by eco-guards, is ideal for hiking and cycling.
Composed of 80% oak trees, the large forest was destroyed during the First World War and was completely replanted and expanded. Nowadays, the forest is protected by eco-guards and allows you to venture out in complete peace and quiet for walks or bike rides. The forest, which is part of the Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park, has become a bubble of oxygen for the inhabitants of Lille, Douai or Valenciennes. Of course, one should not forget to respect the fauna and flora so that this landscape will last!
