UNION BISCUITS
History: Who would have thought that the Union, the "economic bakery", as it was nicknamed in its early days in 1892, which sold bread at cost to the underprivileged, would have experienced such a development? Indeed, a few years later, it became a renowned biscuit factory in the region. The brand expanded and, in 1995, Union Biscuits joined the Chicorée Leroux group. In 2002, she moved to a new factory in Marcq-en-baroeul, then founded the Comptoirs du Biscuit with the company Brossard. After economic difficulties, the company survived the judicial liquidation by Vincent Duprez, the boss of Comptoir des Flandres. The brand then offered itself a new life by joining the group of northern biscuitiers manufacturers.
The sign: The factory store adjacent to the production site has recently opened to customers. The bright and spacious space will immediately plunge you back into childhood. The rich decoration is an ode to the end of the 19th century with its wooden crates, its past colours and its old dough kneading machines..
Products and advantages: All the delicacies of the North are gathered here and almost all the regional products are available: biscuits, Cambrai foolishness, wafers, filled waffles... The downgraded products of course offer the most interesting prices.
Smart: Cakes are packaged in bulk and sold at unbeatable prices. Perfect for birthday snacks, school outings, large families and all occasions to celebrate as a group!
