LE CHÊNE DE TOMBEBOEUF
Over 350 years old, this oak is the most majestic tree in Lot-et-Garonne: a symbol of the department.
The small village of Tombeboeuf is home to the oldest oak tree in the Lot-et-Garonne region, as well as the most beautiful in France. It's in the prime of life that beauty appears. It took 350 years for this oak to attract the attention of more than just those who know it. When Terre Sauvage magazine crowned this tree in 2019, it paid tribute to its 25-meter height and 38-meter wingspan, which make it a remarkable natural feature. It is being closely watched as its trunk threatens to break. Props have been installed.
