Founded in 1983, the CDC has been working for over thirty years on the support and mesh of the choreographic sector in Lille, as well as on regional and national territory. At the heart of DCC's missions is the support and accompaniment of artists, as well as the relationship between choreographic creation and the public. Based on this, the action of the CDC has three major thrusts.
Support for creation and research, structured around the reception of artists at work (research and creation residences), support for the production and structuring of companies.
Dissemination, thought about four strong times: The Grand Bain (an immersion in the diversity of the choreographic landscape), which is the central event of the CDC, Les Petits Pas (dance pioneer festival for the young public), Next Festival worn by La Rose des Vents, and in which the COC joins, and Dances at the place (one time for in situ dances) who are destined to deploy on the le territory.
