THE PARIS-ROUBAIX RACE
Go there and contact
Nicknamed the "Hell of the North", this cycling race, first held in 1896, attracts thousands of spectators.
Every spring, the metropolis plays host to one of the finest races on the international calendar: Paris-Roubaix. It's not called the "Hell of the North" for nothing: over 250 km between Compiègne and Roubaix, including some 60 km of cobbled sections such as the Carrefour de l'Arbre and the Trouée d'Arenberg. Since 1896, the mythical Roubaix velodrome has been the venue for the finish of those who make it to the end of this terrible race. A sight to behold at least once!
