ÉGLISE SAINT-JOSEPH
A neo-Gothic jewel with spectacular frescoes, with factory chimneys integrated with biblical decorations.
In 2021, after extensive restoration work, this neo-Gothic jewel reopened its doors and revealed its superbly restored treasures. This church, built between 1876 and 1878 with funds from textile families who wished to "catechize" the working-class population, blends into the neighborhood with its brick façade. But inside, what a spectacle! Spectacular frescoes, astonishing stained-glass windows, sumptuous shapes and colors everywhere. Take a closer look: the walls are adorned with fabric decorations in vogue in the 19th century!
