ROUBAIX TOWN HALL
Roubaix town hall with a frieze created by sculptors recalling the importance of textiles and prestigious rooms.
Inaugurated in 1911, it is the work of architect Victor Laloux, Grand Prix de Rome 1878 and creator of the Gare d'Orsay. This 6,000 m² municipal palace is a reminder of the importance of textiles in the city. The impressive frieze of 40 figures, created by local sculptors, depicts the various stages in textile production. Don't miss the various prestige rooms, from the marriage hall with its decorated ceiling to the Salle Pierre-de-Roubaix.
