Sadly not. We arrived at about 6pm to find no one at the hotel. On the entrance door to where the rooms are was a handwritten note to us directing us to our room where the key was in the door.
No restaurant, no bar, no hotel as far as I'm concerned. The note was written on the back of a menu for a celebratory meal which presumably they had done at lunch-time. It was a bank holiday, but that does not excuse the proprietors showing some consideration for guests by at least letting them know the restaurant would be closed. We might have had a chance to get a meal on our way from Toulouse instead.
As it was, we were left to fend for ourselves. Given that EVERYTHING except for McDonalds 15 minutes away was closed, this was not good.
The room was a let down compared to the photos. It was basically tired and unloved. The one bedside lamp didn't work, there was some black mould around the edge of the bath etc. It was not terrible by traditional Logis standards however and was very clean. Bed was comfortable enough for a good night after a long day involving a delayed flight.
In the morning we met the proprietor who was pleasant and offered breakfast. Although she seemed a bit surprised when we said yes, five minutes later she had hot coffee, some bread and pastries. There was a buffet table with a few cereals and some juice in a fridge.
I think we were the only guests so I'd imagine this is better at other times. Some of the pastries were barely defrosted and some mini pancakes were very stale. There were some decent jams and honey. The other tables in the breakfast area still all had crumbs on which also didn't lift our impressions of the place.
Many of the reviews for the hotel seem to be restaurant only (it has it's own Google maps entry, but you know, humans..) so the true hotel rating is possibly a bit lower. Restaurant does sound good and if had been open might have changed our view, but as it was this was a very poor way to treat customers. We felt a duped to be honest as we could have had a better experience at a B&B for less money.
