SAN MARTIN CHURCH
Visit a church to observe carved slabs, baptismal fonts, with beautiful pieces, and paintings.
Saint Martin left behind a number of churches. This one dates from the 18th century, but is the third in a long line. The massive exterior is not very inviting, but the interior is full of various works, including two Rubens! Also worth seeing are the elaborate altars, the sculpted stalls and a calvary from the former abbey. As for the baptismal font, it dates from the 16th century. In addition to these magnificent pieces, there are paintings by masters such as the Virgin in the Cradle by Van Dick, and a Entombment by Veronese.
