Museum with beautiful collections of earthenware and workshops in the Abbey Tower, a remarkable monument of baroque style.

Stunning since its renovation, the Abbey Tower is reborn in majesty from the top of its 82 meters. In the past, it was a corner tower and served as a portal to the church of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Amand. Today, this tower is recognized as one of the most unusual Baroque monuments in Northern Europe, with its exuberant ornamentation, a mixture of piety and fantasy. The interior serves as a museum, with collections of earthenware, exhibitions and workshops.

Opening time and information on ABBEY TOWER MUSEUM

Open all year round. Monday and Wednesday to Friday from 2pm to 5pm; weekends and public holidays from 10.30am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (except 1/1, 1/11 and 25/12): from 10:30 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. Free of charge. Guided tour for groups on reservation with the tourist office of Porte du Hainaut.

Extérieur

Je ne l'ai vu que de l'extérieur, mais serai ravie de revenir à Saint-Amand-les-Eaux pour visiter (entre autre) le musée attenant.
