The very first regional park in France, created in 1968, the Scarpe-Escaut regional nature park includes 64 municipalities. Grasslands, large state forests, plateaus... The landscapes of the park are as rich and varied as the fauna and flora they contain. In the north of the park, the inhabited countryside of the Pévèle. In the center, the plains and humid valleys of the Escaut, the Scarpe and their tributaries. In the south, the open plateaus of Ostrevent and Quercitain.
