MUSÉE DE LA FÊTE FORAINE
The Musée de la fête foraine in Saint-André-lez-Lille is a unique place that transports you back to the golden age of funfairs. Housed in a former industrial boiler works, the museum offers three indoor spaces. The first, the 1900 fairground, plunges you into the atmosphere of the belle époque with attractions such as the adult jumping horse carousel, the tiercé game, rifle shooting and fairground organs. The second area, the Chapiteau Guinguette Spiegeltent, is a splendidly authentic space with parquet flooring, alcoves and 800 bevelled mirrors. Finally, the Espace Belle Époque transports you to the atmosphere of old Pigalle, with a hooded caterpillar and an English carousel. The museum also offers catering services with a wide choice of drinks, a French fry shop, savory culinary animations and all the delicacies of the funfair.
