It's one of the longest-running events for any self-respecting beer lover! A unique opportunity to meet the brewers and shop for hops.
It's undoubtedly one of the oldest gatherings for any self-respecting beer lover. The mayor of the town of Sainte-Marie-Cappel (Nord) is the driving force behind this great festival. Brewers from the region and abroad come to share their passion and creations with a large audience. The festival is held every year at the end of September. As well as the beer, legend has it that the best French fries in the region are eaten here! A local produce market is held at the entrance to the main hall. It's a unique opportunity to meet the brewers, shop for hops and share a convivial moment.
The best amateur brewer competition, organized by the Amis de la Bière association, takes place at the same time. Budding brewers have the chance to measure themselves against a jury of connoisseurs.
