The oldest church in the Lille metropolitan area, a symbol of resilience and Christian fervor.

The Saint-Piat collegiate church is the oldest religious building in the Lille metropolitan area: indeed, its construction dates back to the 7th century, when a church was built on the tomb of Saint Piat, a Christian martyr of the 3rd century. The relics of Saint Piat are in the crypt. The building as it can be admired today is the result of several reconstructions following damage during the two world wars: the carillon, inaugurated in 1933, today gives rhythm to the life of the people of Secline with its 42 bells.
