THE FORT OF SECLIN
Fort dedicated to Great War artillery, built in 1873 and used by a regiment that came to Seclin from Bavaria.
This Seré de Rivière fort, built in 1873 and restored by the Boniface family, is the last intact fort in the Lille area dedicated to Great War artillery. During the First World War, it was used by a regiment from Bavaria, supplying men and equipment to the front. Inside, you can see authentic artillery carriages, the main types of cannon of the period, a collection of uniforms and weapons, a saddlery, a Renault FT17 tank... In addition to the museum, you can visit the fortifications.
