MAISON FOLIE TOURCOING
The Hospice d'Havré is a convent built in the 17th century and houses a cloister. This monument, unique in the Lille metropolis, transmits the history of Tourcoing, a city of borders, trade, textiles, hidden gardens... The Hospice brings together literature (writing workshops, public readings, theatre, stories of memory), image (plastic arts, photography, comics...) and heritage (workshops, conferences, debates, guided tours). As part of the Maisons Folie network, set up as part of Lille 2004, European Capital of Culture, Hospice d'Havré is a creative centre for the young artistic scene, with a rich and eclectic programme.
